8. Heartfelt Hospitality at the Japanese Ambassador's Residence.

This evening, we were invited for dinner at the Japanese ambassador's residence in Ethiopia. We were greatly honored to receive Ambassador Saita’s hospitality.

Ambassador Saita was Mr. Kiuchi's contemporary during their time in German. Mr. Kiuchi has been a great supporter of us.

Without these two people’s support, our Ethiopian tour would have not been carried out.

Using all of his cooking expertise, the Japanese chef for the Embassy served us a lovely meal.

Enjoying sushi and shabu-shabu in Africa has provided us with an unforgettable memory.

In addition, I cannot thank Ambassador Saita enough for sending notices to each embassy, handing the public relations and taking security measures.  He created the framework for us to do our tour. Ambassador Saita himself came to see our performance at the National Theater.

Behind the thick gate was an extraterritorial zone. It was Japan.

Despite being in the middle of a foreign country, I could enjoy the security and safety of being in Japan.

Whenever I visit a Japanese Embassy in a foreign country,  I always think of the significance of our national emblem, ”Chrysanthemum."

In building that houses the Japanese Embassy in Addis Ababa, people were killed during a coup, so there are rumors that ghosts will appear in the building. However, Ambassador Saita said he had never seen one. This place was protected by the chrysanthemum emblem.
